Two truck drivers in Southern California allege that their employer, Harbor Express Inc., wrongfully classified them as independent contractors.
The drivers claim that their classification as independent contractors has denied them several rights as employees, such as paid overtime, lunch breaks, workers’ compensation eligibility, and unemployment benefits eligibility. The drivers operate company-owned trucks.
